A group of students set off to Wales this week on what is now our third annual group of students visiting the Outward Bound centre in Aberdovey.

Established in 1946, Outward Bound is an organisation that provides outdoor education programs to help individuals discover and develop their potential through challenging outdoor adventures and activities designed to build confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, and resilience. Outward Bound programs emphasise personal growth, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility and participants often come away with a greater sense of self-awareness and a stronger connection to nature.

Our students have had an excellent week, practicing their teamworking skills and taking on challenges that required them to step out of their comfort zone. The students rose to the challenge and demonstrated our values of being kind, working hard and having courage.

 

Ms Nayyar, Head of Year 10 said “ What a great week we have had. It is always a pleasure to accompany our students when they participate in learning outside the classroom. We have been hiking, climbing and in the sea, all in one week. These are lifelong experiences that will shape them and that our students will never forget!”
